Tom has been a coach/instructor at BVSA for 2 years. Tom was born and raised in Stamford and currently lives in Darien CT. He had a 3- year varsity career at Stamford Catholic High School (now Trinity High School). Tom was all FCIAC and played on the all Connecticut Team that played at Yankee stadium in the Daily News All Star Game against Manny Ramirez.
Tom’s Stamford base Ruth team made a World Series run finishing 5th in the world in 1990. At 16 years old Tommy was scouted by Lou Dorso from the Cleveland Indian’s while signing his commitment letter to the University of North Carolina, Asheville. While developing his fastball topping out at 93, Tom red shirted his freshman year after battling injuries. The summer of 1993 Tommy played in The New York Collegiate Baseball League and briefly played with the Blue Jays organization in the wood bat league and traveled for a season around the east coast.
Tom has over 15 years of on-field experience (at many levels) and over 20 years of coaching experience with local and travel teams. His high energy personality, with a strong passion for teaching as well as his intensity and emotion helps to inspire his students.
