The Bobby Valentine Sport Show: Episode 23
Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of The Bobby Valentine Sport Show. I’m your host, Frank Ramppen, as always. Let’s jump right into another week of the NFL season. Week eight of the NFL season has come and gone because today is Halloween day, Tuesday, October 31st. Monday night, everything’s been wrapped up. Crazy week of the NFL, and let’s just jump right into it.
Weekly Recap – Week 8 NFL Recap:
What just happened out west? What just happened in both the AFC West and the NFC West? We saw some surprising outcomes. The divisions look a little bit different. The 49ers lost their third consecutive game after starting the season 5-0. The Seattle Seahawks won their game and now have the top spot in the NFC West. The NFC West is being led by the Seattle Seahawks after week eight, not sure everyone would have guessed that, especially after the 49ers’ 5-0 start. The mighty Kansas City Chiefs lose to the Denver Broncos in Denver.
Moving along with a weekly recap, we’ll go to the best section in the end of it, the play of the day. Usually, we pick out one play, but this one was a little bit more special. We’re going with the first career start, the performances, the four career touchdowns of Will Levis out of Kentucky. He made his first career start on Sunday for the Tennessee Titans, wearing the old-school throwback Houston Oilers jersey. He balled out, becoming the third player in NFL history to have four touchdown passes in his first career game.
These were the first four career touchdowns in the career of Will Levis. He faked a handoff to King Henry, pump-faked, and lofted one deep down the left sideline for DeAndre Hopkins, reminiscent of 2016. This bomb was the first touchdown of Will Levis’s career. In the second quarter, he found DeAndre Hopkins across the middle for his second touchdown. Later in the game, he threw two more touchdowns to Hopkins, completing an impressive debut.
