We are excited to welcome Noroton Wrestling to BVSA. Founded by Bill and Cliff, Noroton Wrestling was created to provide year-round wrestling opportunities for young athletes in Lower Fairfield County. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Noroton Wrestling offers programs for athletes from ages 4 through high school, including kids, elementary, middle, and high school levels. Their training covers folkstyle during the season, and freestyle, Greco-Roman, and folkstyle in the spring. With three weekly practices, seasonal clinics, and private coaching, Noroton Wrestling delivers structure, discipline, and community to fill the gap left in local wrestling programs.
Bill and Cliff bring personal passion to the academy. Bill’s love for wrestling began in high school, while Cliff’s involvement grew through his sons, Lincoln and Christian. Together, they are committed to creating a place where kids can build skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships through the sport of wrestling.
“There were few wrestling clubs left in Lower Fairfield County, specifically Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford,” said Cliff. “We wanted to create a facility where kids could get training all year and truly be part of a wrestling club.”
Bill added, “We hope to provide more kids with access to the sport, especially during the off-season. That’s when strength, confidence, and real progress happen.”
Partnering with BVSA gives Noroton Wrestling athletes access to a larger sports community and top resources. The addition of Evolution Physical Therapy & Fitness further supports wrestlers with expert-led strength training, injury prevention, and recovery services. Looking ahead, Noroton Wrestling is preparing for its first summer clinic series featuring top clinicians and new opportunities for the women’s wrestling community.
